Questions
How does Orbs see my agents?
Orbs adds one small hook to Claude Code's settings and takes Codex's notify slot, passing each turn on to whatever was there before. Your other hooks stay exactly as they are, and Disconnect puts everything back.
Do I pay for AI twice?
No. Orbs runs no model of its own. Your agents keep running on your own Claude or ChatGPT plan, exactly as in the terminal.
Does my code leave my Mac?
No. Orbs reads your sessions on your own Mac. The only thing it sends over the internet is the check that your key is valid.
Which terminals can I reply into?
Terminal, iTerm2, Ghostty 1.3 or later, and Herdr: your reply lands in the exact session. Anywhere else, Orbs brings the terminal forward with your reply on the clipboard.
How do I unlock it?
Buy in the app and it unlocks by itself the moment you pay. Buy here and the thanks page opens Orbs with your key. One key works on two Macs.
Is there a Windows version?
Not yet. Orbs is Mac only for now.
